As a volunteer I shoot for Project Zenna.
Project Zenna has the wish/goal that every senior from 70 years old deserves a free photo shoot.
They are often given up by family members, to take a break from their daily routine, put them in the spotlight…
A wonderful thing to do, you are warmly welcomed, encounters with beautiful people, hear beautiful life stories while enjoying a cup of coffee, often the picture frames are taken. Then we are going to work with the camera, take a last look in the mirror to see if everything is all right and above all, let’s ENJOY! The result is a beautiful photo of himself and for the family.

The gentleman in the photo is a cheerful man of 80 years old (although he doesn’t feel that old, he says 🙂
Three daughters and 1 son and he is busy every day; gardening, wallpapering, everything is possible.
His motto is: ”They can hire me all day for a good meal”.
I also photographed him that day with his daughter and granddaughter, what a lovely family and what a beautiful man…

The lady in the photo is already 87 years old.
What a warm welcome I received; fresh flowers on the table (especially for the photo shoot) and I could choose from different delicacies for coffee and it was so much fun!
This lady got a nickname from her grandchildren and that is ‘Grandma Stick’.
“Yes”, she says, “that stick is my ‘friend’, I can’t live without it”. As she says this she howls with laughter.
A real family woman, enjoys it to the full, but misses her husband very much. “Oh,” she says, “if he could still experience this.”.
We took beautiful pictures inside and out, in places that were special to her and where this sweet grandmother told beautiful stories while shooting.
