Memorial services are often not consciously and broadly experienced and remembered, because emotions affect us and it’s difficult to spread the attention.
A funeral is about emotional flows, farewell, honour and reflection, transacted between humans and ceremonies. I use my keen eye and intuïtion to catch portraits where the essence of the moment is put into an imprint of imagination.
Also for family and friends, who were unable to attend the farewell and children who are too small for experiencing it, photo’s can help with the grieving process and remembrance in later moments..
